SWAP 19” PRETORIA FOR 18” (ANY STYLE)

Hi everyone,

I bought my first Golf four days ago and it has 19 inch alloys on which are just too firm a ride for me. Looking to swap for some 18 inch. I had the car valeted when I bought it and the guy said the wheels look as though they’ve been very recently refurbished although there is a scuff on one of them. The car is in the garage at the minute having a major service and some other bits so I’ll attach what photos I have of it now and put proper wheel photos up when it’s back. I also need to check if they are genuine wheels. Apologies for my naivety but this is all new to me.

Monetary value of wheels etc doesn’t bother me just as long as they look nice and are 18 inch.

It's possible that they are Pretoria reps, it'd be hard to say for sure looking at those photos but could be worth checking out. If they're genuine they're worth a lot more. Although if you decided to sell them for cash I'd potentially be interested depending on what you want for them.  They do look great against that colour though!

Okay I’ll have a look once I have the car back. Whoever has had it before looks to have spent some money on it but after just looking how much they’re worth I don’t think he’d have spent that much haha! Is it just the VW stamp on the inside I need to look for? Is there anything on the outer side of the wheels?

Yeah I believe they should have a number / emblem stamped into the back, google images will have some examples for exactly what to look for.
