Do you get many people diss your MK1?

I do all the bloody time. People making stupid comments, like why don't you get a newer car? and Oh my god is that 'thing' still going  :angry:  :angry:

Most people simply just don't get it do they!

Even my Dad, brother and Girlfriend moan about it  :cry:

I love my MK1 and love using it as a dailey driver  :cool:

I'm sure some of you get the same treatment?

Lads at work take the p1ss and I get the usually hairdresser b0llocks, but generally speaking people do appreciate the car and when it's cleaned and polished up it looks fekkin great !? ?:grin: :grin:

I know that every time I get in mine I love driving it and it brings a smile to my face, I guess some people get it Bronze and some people don't.? :wink:

Smart arsed remarks like - "boy racer", "cruiser", or "when you getting neons" really wind me up. Just shows peoples ignorance I s'pose. The last thing I want to do with my cab is make it look like the mother ship from ET, with flashing lights and neons, and the corraado looks just like it did when it left the factory!!

yeah down here in australia, get it all the time. they get a shock though when the little golf keeps up with them on take off and passes them thru the bends haha

Not one person has ever slated my car....not that they wud dare :wink:
As for the boy racers..they r probably impressed cos im a girlie n dont drive sumthin stoopid like a corsa or,even worse,a new mini :shocked:

i get the odd hairdressers quote but at the end of the day when the sun is out...hows car do they want to be in hehe


plus if they need to get anywhere fast...who do they call....no not ghostbusters LOL  :laugh: :grin:

esp if you go scooby chasing, then they know the score  :wink:

My favourite one is why do you spend so much money on it when you can get a new car! i just laugh and say what car are you driven? yeah right a Ford or a citreon people just dont know! :huh:
