Title: Obd readers Carly etc.
Post by: Mileymk6 on 14 July 2022, 21:07
Hi all
What’s everyone’s opinion on diagnostic plug ins without breaking the bank?
I have a tps light on which won’t go away and now engine management has come on although not affected car in any way, also would like to change a few things like adding beeps to alarm etc.

What would you recommend?

Cheers.

I have an obd11 bought 5 years ago that works with my android tablet. It can be used for diagnostics and coding. Common changes that people want such as locking beep can be done easily with no expertise required. The diagnostics scan throws up fault codes that can be researched on the net. They are a bit more expensive now than mine but found it useful for making a few changes and having an intelligent conversation with the garage about problems. There are two versions and go for the pro version if you can. There is an iPhone version as well now. Not tried other cheaplsh plug ins but comments seem reasonably positive.

Thanks, I am looking at a Carista, any experience with them or are there other apps I should use which don’t require subscription?
