...had, hence why I've done nothing more with it.  It was a full bare metal restoration, took 2 1/2years, cost a fortune and makes me drive like a 17yr old twit with a big grin on my face every time!!!

I'll post some pictures one day when it's been dug outa the garage again.

It will be growing a bigger engine too, I've been toying with the idea for ages, but I like revs (Honda apprenticeship).  I do have a spare engine 1.9TSR (for sale) that will pull tree stumps outa the ground, but it's all torque and no revs, so the 1600 stays.

Cheers

little update, the engine ran the other day, only for about 5 seconds but its getting there, i had to use some ez start because i still need 2 fuel pipes but at least it all started, just need to bolt a few things on and get somethings polished then the engine will be done!!
i also sorted out the interior wires and got everything where it should be, its just a case of putting thing back together now and sorting out all the little bits and bats,
heres a few pics i took,
good or bad comments welcome:
cheers, brad :D

p.s its no longer for sale!! :D

A rose amongst many thorns
Glad you've seen sense and decided to keep it. I'll be sticking a valver engine in mine next year and getting it resprayed after I've fixed a few niggly bodywork bits.

Its an awesome car but ger rid of those bloddy rear lights

Hi

How did you get on with the dizzy and brake fluid res clearance?  I have heard that it's a little tight.
Seriously tempted to go down the same route, but with a MK3 16v lump, when you have it up and running properly, give us an update, and let me know how she goes, if she is a quick as you hoped or not...

Cheers

kraM

PS, who's is the quattro in the back ground of some of the pics?  Looks a bit tasty.
