Mk1/cab might not be overweight, but it certainly is underpowered , big time!  :-*

I'm sure Freud had something to say on excessive power being a substitue for a shortfall in other areas  ;)
besides' you need to drive slow in these babies, so everyone can see you 8) ( maybe that why you have to go so fast, - to avoid being seen ::) )

Without doubt the worst looking golf they made... I'd pick a MK1 cab over a MK3 GTI anyday... :( ;)

Justin,
I was trying to post a reply to this earlier, unfortunately the forum went down :(
The lower seat belt trim that I thought I had is actually from a Mk2 and, unfortunately, is different.
As for the seat tilt handle, is this it?

Right you lot, I have done the last repair to my Campaign in fixint the drivers seat tilt mechanism and repairing the bolsters with some original cloth. Looks pretty good if I dont say so myself.

Got a couple of little bits of trim on their way to me but there are just 3 things that I cannot get hold of for the life of me....

Handle for drivers seat tilt mechanism and plastic cover for drivers side bottom seat belt mount. Finally the cubby hole thing that goes where the stereo should be.

Cant locate any in scrappies, ebay etc. If anyone can help youd be helping to put a damn nice Campaign back to its former glory. You will be rewarded financially also. So get digging in your spares and help!!!!!!!

Its yours, don't want anything for it.
One of these days I'll clear the shed out, don't hold your breath mind. I have a feeling that buried deep inside are some Mk1 seat belts with that trim..........but I can't be certain. I may have chucked them out a few years ago, the last time I had a clear out and decided I wouldn't be going back to Golf's again. Should have known better  ::)
