Just registered with this site, so I dont quite know where this message is gonna end up :L
Basically, I have just bought a 1.9tdi golf, which I love!!
Was thinking of lowering it but the cost is putting me off...
Would it 'work' if I get larger alloys to give a lowered effect?
Got standard 15's on atm would it be simple to change em to 17/18's?
Btw you're car is lush! (:

No, larger alloys would make it look like your car hated the floor even more

So do I have to get new coilovers or lowering shocks and springs?
Probably don't have a clue what I'm going on about :P

If you want to lower your car yes you will need to either buy coilovers.... Or new shocks with lowering springs.. ie 35mm 40mm 45mm 50mm
