Good day today. Built the pan up to trial fit the shell and see how the wheels fit with the loweredness. We tried 15's on it and they make the car sit how I want, but look daft. Tried on the 17's and they look great, but the car sits high, so going to get some dropped spindles which should drop the front another 2.5 inches down. Anyway - pics!

beam on

15's on and looking good - rear of the pan isn;t chocked up

rears trial fitted. Need to do a gearbox raise to stop the wheels on the back cambering like so -

3" up and sitting straight

Here you can see how higher the box needs to come

15's on, sitting low but wheels look cr@p

17's on, and now front is too high

final shot of how it currently is

Amazing how quickly these look like they take shape when the body is back on.

Looking great!  Have you got a deadline you're trying to keep to?

Nah no deadline - only get one day a week to work on it so slowly slowly. Saying that though with the pan done that's half the work........... Ish.

Also the hotrod in the workshop has 60 days left now as it's going in for commercial sva which is being done away with.

Anyone know where I can get some 17"'steels banded???

Not being ripped off by them thanks. Not yet anyway. The cost for them I can get a couple of torque thrusts.

Danny you reckon your man can do 17"s? A lot of people were struggling because of the size. They would only need widening to 5" or so. Think they are 3.5" currently lol
