« Last post by hardmonkeys on 20 May 2025, 16:10 »I'm just wondering if the owner of the above vehicle is on this site, ive received a V5C for this vehicle, after enquiring with DVLA about it, as it has sat for a very Long time on the road near me, however I wasn't expecting a V5C to come through the door, I though maybe contact details for the owner so I make an offer.
As the V5C isn't legal ownership of vehicle I didn't want any 'oi thats my car', after I'd spent money getting it on the road.
and also, I have no keys, so I need to be able to contact them in regards to either taking my name off the V5C or giving me the keys..

Last year whilst going on holiday the range reached 520 miles. But then next day on shorter journeys, it rapidly decreases!

Golf mk6 / MK7 Style HVAC upgrade
« Last post by Nino on 20 May 2025, 08:55 »Hey all,
Recently did an upgrade to my HVAC climate control to the MK7 style - Thought i'd share with the group as there may be others wanting to do this.
Couple of things to note;
- You first need to have the Auto Climate control unit as shown in the first picture below for this to work.
- It's 100% plug and play.
- This particular upgrade and part numbers listed below is for MK6's with heated seats option.
- You need a trim removal tool and a torx 20 screw driver.
Enjoy

Golf mk7 / MK 7.5 A/C Condensor
« Last post by AGB on 19 May 2025, 23:10 »Hello
Wondering if anyone has had to replace an A/C condensor on a Mk 7.5? My ongoing issue with the aircon has been traced to a stone impact on the condensor (having already replaced the compressor which had a bearing failure).
I'm trying to confirm a part number and price but am struggling to find somewhere with stock at the moment. I think the part number is 5QM816411B. Not sure if model year makes a difference to fitment but it's a 2019 car. Quattrotech quoted me £920 for the replacement OE part which is from VW spares.
I've been looking at replacement with Bosch or Mann, not sure who actually manufacturers the OE condensor but will generally take OE or something of a better quality standard in replacement.
Thanks in advance for any supplier recommendations or experiences.
Alex

Today however, I went for a blast and it's back to normal service, mid 20's

Does show that its capable of it under the right condition.
