Dash swap and MFA transplant
« on: 29 July 2006, 00:37 »
I have a working MFA in one dash, with 120mph speedo, in an F reg with the old-style steering column (hazards on dash).
I also have a 140mph set with a fooked MFA in my knackered G reg, which has the newer steering column incorporating the hazard switch.

I'd like to get the whole dash (in better condition) and steering column, switches etc. from the G to the F, if possible. Is it do-able for a couple of amatuers?

Also, I know this is probably a long shot, but can I swap over the working MFA circuitry from the old-style set to the newer one or is there major differences? I heard the plugs on the back might be a bit different. I'm fairly handy with a soldering iron and multimeter.

I've just got the F reg and sooner or later I might even have a disposable income again :undecided: so I'm already formulating plans, possibbly involving HARDCOR3's bodyshop and some crispy pics of her majesty...
