Just a heads up for general info. Had the above fault on the mk7.5 gti that showed as a stop/start error on the vehicle status display. Dealer replaced the sensor but the fault returned. For anyone having this problem, check that there has been a software update as per the vw bulletin about this fault before the sensor is replaced!! VW roadside assistance sorted me out
