Jobs to do list:
1) replace all filters & oils, brake fluid & coolant
2) renew plugs and get it running on 4 cylinders instead of 3
3) replace rear panel from under the rear lights as its rotten
4) overhaul brakes
5) put in for MOT and see what else needs doing

There will be loads of work to do but will start off small, will post updates as & when they happen

made a start on cleaning out the fuel system today, What a little bugger to get off!! totally rusted pipes and fixings, Managed to break a lug off the housing in the process and seems its virtually impossible to replace with a new one, can get new pipes etc but not the housing!! Doh!!

also note the fuel colour, defo worth doing.

Righto after not being able to source new fuel housing it was repaired and I had my local hydraulics firm make new pipes

Not to bad at all in my opinion.

So with the tank totally drained I refitted the pump and pipes. Filled with £30 of super unleaded and after about 10 attempts of cranking she fired into life and runs on all 4 cylinders. Changed the plugs too but struggles to rev passed 1500 rpm. When it gets to 2000 rpm it's fine so will have to look into that next

Quick update - doesn't run on 4 cylinders so changed the ht leads cap and rotor as they were looking poor with the ht leads terminals green.  Started up and still the same  checked each lead and all working .  It appears that's it number 1 not firing  I now suspect either a injector fault or metering head fault  but will do a compression test as well to rule out a valve problem. Will update when I get a chance and the rain stops!!

Had a spare hour this morning for the old girl so tested all 4 injectors. I was hoping for a fault but would appear they all work. Next step is a compression test.

Bugger. Did a compression test today and found low compression on cylinders 2&4. 60psi less. So next time a get a chance and the weather is good off comes the head.
