If it was me personally I would go for either red or black with that combo you have. Grey would like it wasn't painted at all and other colours such as white and yellow would be to garish.

£45 per corner seems pretty good to me. Considering they have to remove the wheels, prime the callipers and then paint them.

If you're going to do it, do all 4. You have discs all round, so treat them all the same. Gloss black on GTD. If you go red it'll look like you're trying to look like a GTI, unless you have a Tornado Red and get a Tornado Red match (I personally would still go gloss black to match the Nogaro shadowing).

When you say louder, do you mean the road noise is worse? Or the Engine itself is louder? I'm sure I read somewhere the engine noise is supposed to be reduced considerably.

In the cabin the engine sounds more sporty when you give it some it roars louder

Does the GTI have a sound actuator?

It must do because if you put it in sport mode it is noticeably louder you have a choice of normal.sport,economy or user.

Yes both the GTI and GTD have a sound actuator at bottom of front screen behind dash

I do think the actuator on my Scirocco 170TDI sounds better than that on the GTD. The GTD sounds gruffer, but ends up sounding like they added the rattle back they took away with making the TDI unit so refined compared to other diesels out there.
