Give it the beans from day one, as soon as the engine is warm. Just vary the revs rather than labouring along for ages at the same rev count. Everyones opinion is different on running in, me I use it to the full from the first day.

Just use common sense.  Don't go red lining it out of the dealership, but at the same time don't just dawdle along hanging onto low revs all the time.  Outright speed doesn't matter too much, it's how you get there.  Just keep speed and revs varied and you'll be fine,

Thanks for the input everyone will vary the revs and take it up to maybe 4500 at most for first 1000 miles and not labour the engine at high revs for a long time
