Speedo wise, I don't know why they don't do exactly the same as they do on a poverty spec polo I hired recently. It had only MPH on the speedo and then had a digital KMH readout on the MFD. Best of both worlds really (although I would like them to go one step further and make the KMH readout switchable)

I think thats what most of us were hoping for, thats how it is on the mk6.
