Jamie's R32 Progress Thread
« on: 12 June 2012, 21:14 »
Hey Guys and girls.
thought I would start to share with you my R and the mods im going to be doing.
I've had the car a few months now and i am in love with it.

As you will see from the pics the only mods at present are:

Wheels refurbed and sprayed BMW Sepang bronze
Mk5 rear wiper
Forge Motorsport strut top covers
LCR splitter
Pipercross air filter

Then got the car into work and ground that piece of metal that you can see through the gap in the rear bumper.

While it was on the ramp I thought I'd have a look underneath. Good job I did as I found the offside tie arm has gave in and bent.

Pic before

During

After

Dropped into my mate bill who owns badger5 on Sunday who sorted me out a custom map. The car was well down on power before the mapping. Got some good gains after though.
Here are the pics of the graphs.

Here's a little video:

Santa came early and dropped off my new wheels.
Bbs lm's 18x8j front and 18x9j rears.

I shall be putting these on on Friday after work along with my coilovers that should be here tomorrow.

Here's a few pics of the wheel bolted on the rear.

Last weekend i was a little busy.

Fitted my new AP coilovers, forge adjustable tie bars and new wheels.

I'll get some better pics tomorrow depending on weather.

So it started off like this in the morning...

And finished like this in the afternoon:

The front looks low and the rear high because the drive is uneven.

The car is currently away at a company who will remain nameless for now to have a new product developed.
I wont see it until Gti International

Hope you have enjoyed the thread so far.
there will be more coming soon

Bill hasn't got 4wheel drive rollers so we pulled the haldex fuse so it runs on the front

What was the cause of the car being down on power prior to the remap?
