Couldn't you have just screwed with the white balance for much the same effect?

Yeah of course, I actually have some Lightroom Presets for cross processing digital shots but there's something great about not knowing what the results would be until you open the envelope from the shop.

I'm really loving shooting film at the moment, half way through another roll of the standard stuff.
