Cycling I'm just a cycle for fitness type so dubbers 100 k out of my league.

I used to ride a lot 20 years ago, but life took away all of my spare time. I started out again on my mountain bike with narrow, slick tyres on earlier this year, but struggled to do 15-20 miles. I took some good advise, bought a road bike and had it properly fitted and haven't looked back. I'm 44 and a long way off being fit, but having the right equipment makes a massive difference. 4 months ago I wouldn't have even considered such an event, but now I really feel like I am in with a chance of completing it.
dubber same age as me. My cycling is all done with a 16 month old in a child seat on a 29er hardtail which is enjoyable but much easier when I'm by myself. Have toyed with the idea of a road bike maybe one day but for know 10 to 12 mile is a good workout

cheers booth just one of life's blips sent to test us...

Had enough of life's blips at the moment charlie.  Found one of our cats run over and killed on the road outside our house this morning.  Fate seems determined to rob us of a cat

Dropped car off at Lethworth VW for an inspection service. Can't believe I've done 10000miles in 6 months but I can't get enough of driving her :) And it will feel brilliant to be back in the GTI again later after spending the day in a 1.2 Polo!

Had a mate do some spraying for me. Had rear diffuser, side skirts, and fog grills sprayed in gloss black:

First sanded and high build primer:

Then both sprayed in Gloss Black, he said they have come out great. I will post pics when they are fitted.

I've always thought the skirts, diffuser look best in a Matt colour.

I've always thought the skirts, diffuser look best in a Matt colour.

I think it depends on the colour of the car, whether they suit or not.  I thought about doing mine in gloss black but decided it might look a bit one dimensional if everything was glossy black on a black car, so left it.

Looks good against red or white though and think it would suit CSG too as it adds a bit of definition and detail.
