mk4 vr6, where do you live I will personally come down and slap you. They are such boring cars IMO and so slow... awaiting banter from vr6 boys to come with there NA slow engines and tell me how it is awesome even though its an outdated motor that is wayyyyyyy overpriced in sale value...

So you've got a 1.8T with a small blower and your pointing and laughing at 240BHP V6's?

It's not just about the power with the R32, it's the looks, the handling and the soundtrack.

Don't think the mk4 looks nice at all, mk5 looks spot on. They handle fantastically and the sound of any v6 is a thumbs up. But it was boring to drive and not thrilling. Felt very calm even at high speed which is why I'd rather say no too it and go for the cheaper 8L s3 1.8T k04 setup which will rock the socks off.

Still on the fence as to whats happening the ol' girl :undecided: but il cross that bridge when I come to it! Lately I had noticed the coolant was going down steadily, so did some investigating and located it to the coolant temp sensor housing, my mate Adam confirmed the name of it as I was just refering to it as "the plastic pipe thing that has 3 other pipes going into it" :smug: Im very technical ya see. Whilst I was going to have to drain all the coolant out anyway I thought it would be rude not to replace the expansion bottle, gotta' admit you guys were right! dont know why I didn't do it earlier! Just makes my washer bottle look manky now :embarassed:

So today mainly consisted of this, a good old fashioned tinkering ...

Got the old pipe off and well you can see where a big chunk of plastic is missing

New bottle and G12 coolant

all fitted

and a pic that I thought looked cool

One thing I've never got with Bora's, why do some cars have headrests with holes in the middle and some (mine included) don't!?
