I have a dilemma.

Just got off the phone with the dealer who said my car will be ready to pick up in 2 weeks exactly. I said if think about it (although my head was screaming to get it ASAP).

My problem lies in the resale value of a 64 and 15 plate. Should I just wait it out until March to pick it up? Is there a significant difference between the two?

I was in exactly the same position as you this time last year (car ready 2nd week Jan) and I waited until 1st March. Looking back, it was worth the wait but I don't know what difference it made to the resale value, I guess I'll only know that in a couple of years. I just wanted the new reg on the first day it came out!

Had the same dilemma last year, the dealer told me the difference would only be £650, but I'm glad I waited till the 1st March, it turned out to be a lovely sunny Saturday perfect for picking up a new gti.

Thanks, I have had my Mk6 GTD from new and nearly 5 years and 80k miles, so a while.
