As per previous posts, picked this up from Specialist Cars Aberdeen on last Thursday night, low-key affair just as I wanted, came with a full-tank of diesel (was originally told would only come with £20-worth but pleasantly surprised and came with both MDI to iPod and MDI to Lightning cables) and decent bottle of champers. As far as this sale went I couldn't fault the service really and I managed to get a great discount/deal with several freebies included as part of the package (most other places couldn't match the deal or I would have had to travel further afield etc.).

Ordered back at the end of April and arrived 6th of August but had requested it for a 64' plate delivery so waited until I was back from holiday to collect. Few decent options ticked and it's fantastic so far tbh and serves all my needs at this time.

Some extra pics after new wheels fitted:

Future plans include possible lowerage (but potential issues with warranty there), DTUK box (after initial run-in), some VCDS-coding and changing-over to my plate.

Loving it so far :-)

hello All,

I've had my new car (Golf GTD Mk7) for almost a week now and I have to say its better than I thought given that I've gotten used to Polo ownership (2 versions) since 2003. the key things are as follows:

1. It's done 350 miles since I collected it from the dealer with 10 miles on the clock in 3 days.
2. I've achieved nearly 50 mpg long term average.
3. The interior lighting is great.
4. Driving at night is far better than the day
5. DCC is worth it if only for the comfort mode, and I've not tried sport yet.
6. The sunroof makes a big difference to the ambience.
7. Night blue is fantastic day or night.

There are other things as well but perhaps the biggest negative is deciding what on earth I am going to do in 3 years time with a replacement choice??

Some pics of my Golf! Slightly used by the salesman I bought it from, it is registered in traffic not even a month ago, and I got a 20% discount, and also a very very good offer for my MK6 I had before. So im quite satisfied!

Deep black, performance pack, DSG, "towing package" as they call it here in sweden, reverse camera and a towing hook, rear and front parking sensors, Bi-xenon (standard in sweden) tinted windows, Adaptive chassis and some other bits.

Too bad the snow will be pouring down here in Sweden within a couple of weeks :(

Hope the pics arent too big

Hi GTDMB185, great looking car and spec - but I may be biased as it's almost identical to mine :)

Had mine for 4 months now and still loving the night blue in various settings. Enjoy the car, and enjoy some sport mode when you've get her broken in!

I bought this on Monday, i didn't want to wait 6 months for a R and this came up at a very good price, not a bad car for ferrying the kids about in  Its been about 28 months since i sold my last Golf ed35 and i've had a fair few before R32's GTi etc but this feels so far the best built/quality. The paint work has not one mark or swirl (the first time ever on a brand new golf for me and i've had 7 brand new from 2005) but i requested no washing from the dealer and this promise was kept for the first time. It feels good to be back in a GTI
Just a few quick pics

GTI manual PP, now sold  :-(
