Gnasher, assuming you're the same on mk7 forum, did you have your push button replaced and was it different and if so could I get a pic, mines going and I can tell the dealer is gonna be a prick so if I can prove the part has been changed it may go smoother!
I did indeed have it replaced - never got a photo though. I'm not the first to have it replaced for that exact reason (which is the sharp parts of the N come off) so I doubt you'll have any problems.
They might check it first to ensure you've not been abusing it (how I don't know) but it's all good after that.
All good now, drove in, showed them the N and hey presto new on to be installed next week under warranty!
Had the button replaced yesterday and i can confirm it is definitely a different design, ever so slightly.
Also, just paid for 4 uniroyals fitted for £264 at Malvern Tyres, getting them fitted tomorrow as current F1's are at 2.5mm
