they were shot on a D3S you're probably not used to the Nikon quality  :laugh:

Seriously though the frames have been cleaned up and enhanced to a point, although looking on the nasa site you can actually get all the images to make your own;

so the lightning looking like a circuit board is explainable.... what about the long line of light @3.47?!

I see what you mean about the lightning, is it the light coming through the solar collector, it doesn't look right though.

the line @ 3.47 not sure but going of the description it's 14. Views of the Mideast at Night

so could be a coast line?
