Cracking price, I'd buy one in a second If I was confident enough that I wouldnt mess my car up.

GTI mk6, 3dr Manual (Yes Manual! If I wanted a Taxi I'd hail one, not spend £1500 on one), Candy White, Full Leather, Xenons, ACC, 18", RCD510 + Dynaudio, DAB Radio, Winter Pack, Luxury Pack, Fiscon Bluetooth Plus, Golf R LED's.

Good price. I probably will buy one today!
I never use polishing machine before, just need some advice!
What pads and polishing compunds should I buy?
Which one is safe to use on VW and Porsche paint?
I can see some swirl marks on the bonnet! There are no scratches!
Thanks for any advice!

Ideal for a white car too Kev, ... a quick whizz over with something like SRP and all those little black tar spots etc are gone.

I could'nt live without one now.

This is an excellent buy. I bought these when I was new to detailing. It was bought as part of a kit with three megs pads and three samples of menzerna polishes, all for £200.

As long as you prep the paintwork beforehand (thoroughly washed, clayed and taped), it'll be fine.

The kits I have set out are quite good places to start, I haven't adjusted the price of these yet. As long as you get a finishing, polishing and compounding pad, it doesn't really matter what make you go for. As for polishes, have a look at the Meguiar's range, Something along the lines of Megs 80 and 83, or 105 and 205.

I'm seriously thinking of getting this now.

Got 2 problems though, 1. Any deal sweetners around to get me to buy and 2. How do I hide it from the Mrs.
