Title: Cleaning seats
Post by: Mew on 15 August 2007, 17:01
I really need to give my seats a good clean. The only problem is they are the uber early mk2 pattern and also being 23 years old the fabric feels like it is quite thin so i don't want to get too aggressive with it!

My mum has one of those Bissell carpet cleaner jobbies and it has quite a few hand attachments so i was planning on using that. Would this be too harsh? I'm also a bit concerned that it may lift off the stripes, as from what i remember they are pressed on transfer kind of things rather than coloured fabric (i have had seat covers on from the day after i bought the car so can't remember!)

If they were a more common pattern i'd just stick them on the drive on pressure wash them, it's just i don't want to damage them like i said.
