Just buy a proper one without issues

With my previous VW, I had an annoying buzzing noise from the driver’s side adjustable seatbelt mount on the B pillar. I found moving it up or down a notch stopped the noise and it never returned.

Might be worth trying if you haven’t done so already?

Golf mk7 / Annoying, intermittent tapping noise from B pillar.

As the title says, worse on rougher road surfaces (lots of them around here). Not loud, but beginning to bug me. Appears to be from B pillar around the seat belt adjustment,so pretty close to my ear but we all know how sounds travel in an car. All seals have been cleaned and lubed with Gummi Pfledge. Any thoughts / experience?
I have to admit, most people wouldn’t notice or care but it is beginning to irritate🤷

So for the GTI/GTI CS/GTD and R the gear shift mechanism has been discontinued 5 times:
01/06/2019 to 22/09/2019: 5WA713033AB (discontinued)
23/09/2019 to 18/10/2020: 5WA713033AG (discontinued)
19/10/2020 to 27/06/2021: 5WA713033AN (discontinued)
28/06/2021 to 21/08/2022: 5WA713033BB (discontinued)
22/08/2022 to 14/05/2023: 5WA713033BS (discontinued)
15/05/2023 to 2024: 5WA713033CD

So the latest part number is 5WA713033CD.

Also according to the TPI 2073204/3 the gear selector (5H0713059R) would also need to be replaced if the software number is 0013. The replacement has the newer software revision 0014.

Hi I’m having a massive issue with my Golf GTD. There’s an error select light appeared on the dash and I’ve been to the garage and they’ve said it is a V682 gear selector issue. The car drives perfectly still ans there’s no obvious driving issues. The problem is it’s a lease and I’m trying to give the car back and they won’t accept it back with the light on. Currently, there are no parts in the country or in Germany and they’ve no idea when any will be manufactured. Does anyone have a solutions to this? I was thinking a breakers yard? VW won’t even give me the part number! All I’ve got is the attached picture with the required part highlighted in gold.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Chris

My car is going in in 2 weeks time for a service and to have this switch replaced and they have not said to me part is on back order?

Regardless of what you pay now you will still get way less when you do eventually sell it or trade it.

Would need to be a fair few grand cheaper for the risk I think.

Personally I wouldn't buy any cat car never mind a GTI but that's just my opinion

It's my brother's so just sharing the listing, genuinely it'd be very hard to find a better example. Only thing that probably hurts it is that it's not blue!

That is a stunning example.
