New diesels don't make smoke as most have some sort of DPF to get them through current emissions rules.

Even after been remapped, on the rolling road, there wasn't as much as a puff of smoke from the back of my 2.0 CR Passat.

Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.
