Stopped the water leak on the Mark 3 with a £2.50 o ring from VW dealers and spare ecu temp sensor housing from the shed. Oh and totally ignored the Mark 4....happy days  :grin: :grin:

I've done this today, and chuffed with the results so far, shame you won't see most of it underneath the airbox :)

Prepping almost done


White primer done, Just need to paint it Alpine white and i can put the restored airbox and afm back in

if you can keep getting it in fields easily it obviously needs a tad more of the lowering stick treatment  :grin:

today been a busy day, gave her a deep deep clean. seats out the lot, gave her a dam good clean and a polish, intera valeted, and engin bay all clean, pics will follow!

ran a direct feed from the front chanel on my head to the 180w alpines that i just replaced the dash top tweeters with as whoever wired up the stereo before had ran a single feed to the amp and then fed every single speaker from it, so the more you turned it up the more horrible toppy tweeter noise you got.
so now i have some nice chunky power from the two sets of uprated 6"s with some moderate level full range sounds from the dash, far less ear bleedy.
de-badged, de-trimmed tractor height 16v sleeper for a steady 30mph over the 4.3 million speed bumps in milton keynes, each to their own

after a week up in north wales, i mucked my mk3 out, sand,more sand and omg even more fookin sand!!!  :grin: :laugh: then gave it a damn good wash, wax and valet, lovely now after a 989mile week!!  :cool: mk3`s all the way!!!! lol
quicker than a granny in a knitting race ;)

Fitted the airbox and cleaned out washer bottle and all the plastic scuttle trims, best thing is the car still worked after i put it all back :)
