Must admit the mk7 R is really growing on me and I like the idea and its very tempting...
but the thought of 20k cost to change isn't.
As my GTI has only done 11k and I really need to clear my fleet before even considering buying anything else the head is currently winning the battle.

Ah, but for how long

Unlike the mk7 gti, I am totally sold on the R and it will be mine   in 18-20 months

Specced one up today and comes in around £37k  (and that's without price increases) so saving up in earnest.  It's gonna be a long long wait

Picked up a new A1 Black Edition for the Mrs. S-Tronic with the new 1.4 COD (cylinder on demand engine).

The Audi dealership handover experience was very professional and they made us feel pretty special. I really got the impression that if we were picking up a new £20k or £80k car that the treatment would be thee same.

I'm massively impressed by the car as an all round package. Its feel so well built and its great to have a VAG car on the driveway again. Its much more hot hatch then I expected, the 1.4 COD engine is very nippy. The engine sound and exhaust note is better than my BMW. The Mrs will struggle to get the keys of me at this rate!

Anyway, apologies for the picture overload

Free Audi Teddy for our 5 year old provided!

The new cars home!

Lastly a picture of my new BMW 17" winter alloys/tyres.

A1 looks great.  Good to hear there are some quality dealers around.
