Well we have just done a deal on a new 120d M Sport for the wife, so the Gti will be going end Sep pending availability.

All mods coming off on Saturday and car put back to standard, I have enjoyed it for the 18 months we will have had it but its time for a change and something a bit cheaper to run, and more importantly a car that I can't mod and waste money on  :embarrassed:

Spec is Mineral Grey, Visibility Pack, Comfort Pack, Sun Protection Pack and BMW Speaker upgrade, will be her first new car and she is very excited which was the main aim.

Did look at and test drive the 125d and also the M135i but sensible head ruled on final spec and what we were happy paying as monthly figure.

Collection planned for next Friday (20th) looking forward to it now, under 7 weeks from order to delivery.

VW have a lot to learn on customer service and lead times from reading the multiple threads in the Mk7 section, no way could we have accepted such a poor service on a car of this value, the GTD wasn't even considered on this basis.

Don't tell the mk7 boys that, youll only upset them!  What a contrast to the cr@p vw service

VW upset me last year when they refused to fit the wastage clip which cures the rattle and is well documented claiming it wasn't a recall and therefore they didn't have to do it. The clip cost a total of £12 and literally took about 3 mins to fit.

From there I moved my servicing to a specialist and vowed never to go back to the dealership as you would hope after spending nearly £20k on a secondhand car there would be some customer service, clearly my expectations were too high.

I have had my 3 series for nearly 6 months now and have completely fallen in love with it, it's a fantastic car to do mileage in and has received so many nice comments from strangers wich has completely thrown me as I thought bmw drivers were hated by the general public

Further to this the service from my dealer was fantastic and as such we have now bought the 1 series, look after your customers and they will look after the sales!

Will pop some pics up once we have got it

Oh how I hope that someone from VW were reading this

Looking forward to the pics - I was followed by a 1 series in Estoril Blue today must have been a good spec as it had the twin halogen 'U' shaped driving lights (the updated Angel eyes if that makes sense?)
