I'm hoping for simple :) back off hol now so will pop out to the garage this evening and have a play with the multimeter. If I can get the thing to start then it should be on the road at the weekend :grin:

Right, far as I can tell there's no power to the fuel rail, but I've no idea why. Also got the problem with the ISV making a horrible noise of course. An autoelectrician mate is coming round at the weekend to take a look, hopefully he'll be able to fix it for me.
