Post by: stratosboy on 27 December 2020, 15:44
just joined, here's my motorsport Elise project, powered by a modified and rebuilt stroker 1.8t (AGU head). Large Garrett G25 550 turbo, new TFSi crank and rebore to 2.0l - charge cooled and built for 500bhp

It's not running yet, I'm nearly there. Should be going in the next few months, I'll report back then, hoping it's about 3 secs.

Nice! 500 horsepower in an Elise is going to be absolutely mental.

I built a Caterham last year (the standard 1.6 Ford Sigma 125 BHP) for a mate to race in the Academy class and I was looking at a 620, 0-60 in 2.8 seconds, so 500 BHP in something of not much more weight will be ballistic 😳😀
