Why not be brave / different and think outside the box for the colour.

Because DPb will look amazing!

I don't think it works on a mk3.

It will work. Look at the MK3 in Fjord Blue, they look epic, Deep Pearl Blue is just a more defined and deeper blue.

I haven't seen it work on a mk3 yet. It just doesn't sit right. It has the problem of making you at the paint and not the car.
The mk3 came in a huge range of colours, have you looked through them all LL? Some of them are crazy sweet.
Also, if you are going to go all out with the exterior respray take a look at non-oem colours. Mazda do some very nice colours
Not low enough mk5
Not on the road enough mk3

im copying rhyso and doing a shameless bump to keep it on page 1 :D :D :D

......no I have a genuine update:

Spent this morning doing more bodywork, got the left side pretty much done, just getting it SPOT ON. Lots of arch work; due to them being rolled ghetto styley, they have rusted slightly, nothing major, just surface. Left side needs a little more work, but its almost done. Will be working on the right side this week and saturday. Maybe get the boot done, but will see how time goes.

Got some piccies:

WORK IN PROGRESS

CBA TO FIND USB CABLE TO TRANSFER PICS

:D

Hoping to get the majority of the bodywork done in the next few weeks and then I can move on to primer. I will spend a day stripping it down and finishing off all the little bits like door shuts and the little niggly areas and then primer. Hopefully once its primered and flatted back, it should be ready for paint. No doubt there will be a few bits i missed.

Need to source a debadged and GTI grill, bonnet and deep chin spoiler before its sprayed. I want to have it all sprayed at the same time so its all a perfect match :)

I want to get the respray done by end of May for Plymouth Volksfest, but I'm not too bothered if it doesn't. I'm aiming to get it looking sweet for Edition38.

I think we should all let him do what he wants with the car considering it is HIS car. He's put a load of effort into it and being completely honest he's one of those "think outside the box" types. Christ one time he told me to paint my centres Dragon Green with polished lip on the BBS.

Whatever he does it'll look wicked.
