In which case you're going to knock a fair chunk of how good it needs to look by fitting those rims.

Stretch = less good handling as the sidewalls are out of shape, so can't deform, thus the tyre won't perform properly.  It won't grip as much and will let go less progressively.

Wheels that wide are totally unnecessary on a car of that weight and power.  You'd be much better with a set of 16" 7" wide rims and something like a 205 width tyre in ~50 profile.  This will give you a lighter rim, so better suspension compliance etc and a pretty reasonably priced tyre.

Driving-wise you'd be better off hunting down a 'box with a Quaife fitted, which will make things far more interesting and fun than spunking money on some over-blown rims.

Are you building the car to drive and enjoy, or look like some gangsta tw@t?
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Borbet As always look sweet but avoid white centres with black lips! It looks so rubbish that the  smiley doesn't do it justice. Have a search over on vwvortex and see for yourself, they look atrocious! Another shape wheel maybe but not the As, the dish looks awful hidden in black and then the position of the white centre looks retarded. Besides, why go deep dish only to hide the dish?  :undecided:
Not low enough mk5
Not on the road enough mk3

I like! Yea I can understand what DH is saying, and I know your car is a lot more powerful than my 16v was, but I used to thrash that around corners etc.. And that griped better than any car I've ever had. That was however with 7.5" fronts and 9" rears. I had 195/40/16 front tyres and the rears were 195/45/16. Never any problems there, I'd just say buy quality tyres and keep an eye on them for and tears/bulges.

Will look sweet mate :) Deffo do them all white or something, wish that mine had never been black tbh!
