nothing much recently, just getting more dirty lol.

i refitted the clutch cable so it feed into the car different. instead of going under the wiper motor and getting munched by the wiper arm when i had the wipers on, it now goes around all that so i have smooth wiper action and cant feel the pedal moving when the wipers are on lol.

got a new mk3 oil pressure switch to fit and wire in (low pressure).

going to look at the wiring again this weekend, get the multimeter out and get the clocks working i hope or at least find the problem.

should be getting new rims next week when i get paid! Woop woop! Give them a refurb/respray in black and white and get them on! no doubt they will change color again lol

other than that im just putting up with the sh!tty gear selecting for now as it does work. will look into it more once all the above is sorted

cheers :)

well tried to fit a roof today off a mk3 polo it looked like it would sort of fit.

So after getting pi$$ed off with it i kinda f**ked the gutter rubber thingys, which wouldnt go back after i fitted the rack. then i tested to see how strong it was and it came off. So by now i was really pi$$ed, roof rack was thrown (lol, no damage to it though, phew). Then to top it all off the the gutter rubber thingys were more f**ked and now 1 of them wont go back on and the other is on but not properly. Oh and some d!c at work thought it was a great idea to tell me i was late back from lunch - i told him politely to go away  :D

Will have a look at the damn things tomoro or saturday.

F**KING F**K YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have the dash working!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wrote down all the colors of the spare wires and then looked through the wiring diagrams for them. it was a blue/white wire which originally came out of the ECU and went to a junction box then it split, one to radio and one to fusebox. the one that went to the fusebox came out and went to the dash; so i thought this one might be the problem. Also when i was driving i could here the speed through the speakers..... remember it split at the junction box and one went to the radio.

I earthed it in the bay and it worked!

next problem - gears!

edited due to over excitement and stupid things wrote lol
