having a nightmare with wiring at the moment, got no left side indicator or reverse lights and looked into the dash wiring but im stuck there too......

put in 15L of 97 today and swapped the old plugs for some new denso iridium ik22's.
gave it a new oil filter and filled up with quantum platinium oil from vw.
front end is on and got the headlights working and the cooler all connected up.
got my m8 to look at the exhaust, and he is going to make up a bit of tube with a 2.5" id to join it to the downpipe.

still got to sort out the throttle and clutch cables, they are proving to be a nightmare.
still got to look into the gear linkage/box too.

sourced a caliper now, so that should be here next week. once that arrives i can finish bleeding the brakes, so all that will be sorted.

otherwise its getting close to being finished. would have started it up today,  but the battery needs charging. i can still have the radio on and turn on headlights, etc though..... so not sure whether its the fact the battery is in the boot and there is too much resistance to the starter..... will try and jump start it maybe and see if that works......

anyway, got some pics to put up l8r :)

Here is just an update with a few pics. got the front end on now. hopefully get it running this week and have working throttle and clutch pedals. ohh and i got a new caliper on the way, so the brakes should be done this week too.

need to look at the gears and wiring so its roadworthy, but if i can hear it running and its all good, then i'll be happy lol.

cheers :)

:D

thanks peeps!

.... and yeah shep, will defo have to watch it and the restl! but i think i might be replacing those pipes quite often :D

not too long now, got my mate coming down to help with the throttle and clutch cables and gearing (linkages maybe?) and i got a new caliper now to fit. once its driveable, i will take it up to my work to work on the wiring. cause thats the only problem with it that i, and no one i know can sort out.

but if the battery is charged (been charging) then i will try and start it tonight i hope! dont see why it wouldnt start!

hopefully have an update soon! thanks again for your comments :)
