yeah!!! thanks shady

really though, its not easy to do a 1.8t conversion yourself! lots of stuff goes wrong and nothing is simple - NOTHING!

pretty much everything needs to be modified in some way and when you start by knowing nothing about engines and cars, you gotta learn that along the way too!

but yeah update soon, only gotta bolt on downpipe and get the throttle/clutch cables on. bolt on front end and boost pipes (silicone should be here this week) add all the fluids, then done! sounds easy? no! no and no and no again!! had the throttle cable on today, custom made brackets for it, etc. but it only opened the throttle half way!! arghh!! clutch cable is even worth as the mech is the wrong way, so needs to be pulled towards the front of the car. ohh and the downpipe, well the arb is in the way of that

then picture that sort of thing for EVERYTHING that needs doing!  B A L L   A C H E

got no dials either, so will have to sort that too...... just lack of power.

yahhh, im out ;)

clutch cable is even worth as the mech is the wrong way, so needs to be pulled towards the front of the car.

What are you doing with the clutch? What parts are you using?

If you're staying cable-actuated, then it *should* pull towards the front and you should be able to just bolt the whole SEAT set up straight up.  This should include a bracket that bolts to the top of the gearbox to hold the cable.

Here's a couple of inalienable truths:

Modified cars are here for one reason - to teach us that nothing is ever easy (just ask Len).

Women are here for one reason - to demonstrate all women are mental.

So, I take it you're hitching a lift to E38, or just not bothering....
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Holiday cottages on the Isle of Wight for 2-10 people? PM me.

ahh, might pop up to Seat after work then and grab the bracket. got the actuator from vw, but no bracket, although i think i remember seeing the bracket that holds the cable on the diagram at vw.

yep, probably just wont bother :D :D :D

.....unless i can get the dash working, cables fitted and downpipe on and connected to zaust by thursday.....
