So first thing was getting the front end off and blowing up the 1.4

front end off:

blew up the 1.4. rod came through case lol. funny as f*ck watchin it!! heres the hole lol:

dropped the entire subframe and dragged the it all out of the engine bay.

so now we stripped down the 1.4 and subframe, etc, and refurbed all the parts that we will be reusing. then rebuilt it all. so now its all ready to bolt back on. few pics of bay sprayed matt black and various parts.

sanding it down, wet 400/600. nothing major, just a quick sand down.

12pk of matt black ftw only cost £15!

g60 discs

polybushes fitted, and then the 1.4 loom there too, need to sort through that soon. JOY!

vr6 clutch /g60 lightened fly setup fitted:

qpeng wiring and downpipe:

Well thats sort of where im at now. havent really put a lot of time in yet. what with work and the missus, makes things hard to find time to do it lol! hoping to get down there later tonight and get it sprayed. if so, i will get pics of that.

Hopefully by the end of this week, it will be a rolling shell. i.e. just require the engine/box. want to have it sprayed and all the brakes, subframe, etc all on. then me and julian can work out the wiring. the qpeng is plug and plug, but i still need to sort through the 1.4 wiring. then the qpeng wiring just needs to have a few wires spliced in, like speedo, 12v, few sensors. etc

Shopping list is much shorter now too to get it on the road again. only need exhaust, boost pipes, battery, new ball joints, cable shift mechanism and probs a couple other little bits which have gone missing or need replacing.

cheers :)
