Smoothed hatch has reached an impass again!
Dont like the hump in the middle caused by the boot latch sticking up!
So will have to cut the plate off and sink the latch down in somehow!
Well I know how I'm going to do it, going to be reall fiddly!

New saga about to start!

Getting another engine to work on!
Rough plans are gas flowed head with bigger valves and new cams.
Bigger displacement, not sure how big yet.
Throttle bodies and tube exhaust manifold.
Plus an entirely new ECU system.
Not sure if I can run without a CAT yet, still chatting with ECU company about that!

Hoping to do bottom end myself, head off to somewhere.........
Then bolt on the rest!

Overbore and diesel crank to 2100cc?

Sounds like a plan though...

100mm crank, does that not restrict the rev's to 5000rpm or something? From what I gather it will be a low revving torque monster though.
Mmmmmm punchy.

Not sure of actual revs etc and even final spec etc. As really I am still exploring the options.
Engine bloke said about this 100mm crank and 2.3 litres so yea why not! I prefer torque to revs!

getting whole diesel engine for £150.
A brand new crank is around £365 tahts the best I was quoted.
And anyway even a brand new one would have to be balanced with the flywheel and may need some fine grinding!

So once car is pronouced fir for another year, (MOT) the engine build will start in earnest!

Engine build on back burner for now as I want to change the look.
Doing front bumper/headlights etc. as you can see in Dub Rides.
Then finish the rear hatch.
Will put selected pics in here when all done.
