thanks Jack :)

tis a FAIL I'm afraid

nothing too drastic though..

side offside indicator not working - fixed by giving it a whack
screen washers not working - fixed by giving the connector a wiggle
nearside track rod end - excessive play

advisory - nearside handbrake 30% down - probably caused by the fact its been sitting doing not very much for the last god knows how long and it is slightly seized... Chuff said he has a solution for this  :lipsrsealed:

as you can probably tell the track rod end presents a bit more of a problem.. its under investigation at a friendly local garage who is going to take a looksee... if it does need a new steering rack then all is not lost as it needs to be safe.. would rather have the problem sorted properly.

garage will call me tomorrow with an update.. free retest within ten days

so all in all very pleased, nearly back on the road and nothing too much to worry about... everything else, including all the bits Chuff and I have done is peachy

We were both pacing up and down like expectant fathers! What was it Arfur Daly said to you.. "you look like you're about to take an exam?!"

Needs a new steering rack plus two hours labour.

I really don't mind this as it needs to be safe on the road and rather than doing the minimum I want it all tickety-boo! Collect Monday or Tuesday

Check GPC for some new door clips, if they still do them. I had a mare trying to sort out those on mine, the old ones just would not work. Got some new ones and they fixed it straight away.

Nice to see this one coming along nicely.
......now officially dubless.

its not the clips that are the issue gibby, the actual holes in the door frame are goosed  looks like they have been filed out at some point

2 repair plates fabricated at work to go behind them, and we should hopefully be sorted :afro:
