told ya the jetwash would clean the carpet up

Works wonders on fabric seats too, just have to leave them for days to dry if you want to avoid a damp arse!

george 'the extractor' ftw on seats

the thing I was most pleased about was going from this

to this - nice and clean and all the wiring neat and tidy and insulated

its been a while so i thought I would post a quick update

the leak [see http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=134530.0] will hopefully be sorted sunday

as of 30/11 she will be SORN and undercover hence my storage post in the mk1 section

in the meantime I have the following plans:

find a replacement suspension set so that it is lowered 'slightly' but more importantly bumbles along comfortably and safely
replace front wishbones and bushes
replace fuel filler neck with a stainless steel one (purchased but not fitted)
find cost effective way of replacing hood/headlining/bag/window surround
ensure that it is not leaking and fit mk1 underlay/soundproofing
find replacement ashtray & cabby MFA stalk
fit new rocker gasket and replace current rocker cover or powdercoat existing one
she is being stored on steelies so current castellets can have a refurb
if time and funds allow have various bits of trim/upholstery treated to an overhaul inc possibly steering wheel
and last but not least... find a way of getting that goddam rear view mirror to stick!
