I did think the same Ben, but I thought it was worth a shot and if it didn't turn out ok then I would just get a new carpet. it's always nicer to have the original and it was very good practice for me on those hard to shift stains.

I don't think I would have achieved the same result if I didn't jet wash it though... however good the George and however strong the chemicals are this needed a really good blasting and all the corners and nooks and crannies would have been impossible to clean in situ.

a bit like that yes... although that is why the rubber mats are down.. although it seems a waste of showing off the carpet it will help keep them clean!

NO crisps or sweets though for the little person! she isn't gonna like that!!  :evil:

Works wonders on fabric seats too, just have to leave them for days to dry if you want to avoid a damp arse!
