picking it up tomorrow... the brakes scared the sh1t out of me in the test drive... is there a solution?

Guy, there's a thread in mk1 maintenance http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=8181.0 and it has a tech link on page 5. I've not read through it, but it's a start.

I think the fun of a mk1 is that split second when you wonder if you are actually going to stop in time.
