Mantis JML, bollox?
« on: 22 August 2010, 12:17 »
Just seen an ad' between the touring car for this Mantis made by JML.

Ad' says spray on dirt wipe off to reveal a deep gloss shine. Now that's my kind of cleaning

Just wondered if anybody had tried it? Surely they can't say it does something it doesn't?

Don't JML make dog-hair brushes and extendable window cleaning stuff etc?

Saw an advert for similar product by CarLube called "Demon Shine".  Wouldn't put it near our car, it looks a load of bull to me.

Yeah, that's them of the 19.95, yes 19.95 fame.

I dunno, seems mental that they are able to advertise something on TV if it doesn't do what they claim. I am highly sceptical, but I also hate cleaning my car. That is what puddles and rain are for...

It's just a quick detailer - would you really use it on a dirty car and leave no damage?

i use demon shine highly diluted as a drying aid, very good imo, but its definatly not one to use to replace a good wax after a wash.

JML put their name to anything

another product that seems a quick fix, wouldnt imagine what its actually doing to your paintwork  :undecided:

theres nothing wrong in spending 4 hours doing the 6 stage cleaning process...

maybe, but its a better finish and you dont damage your paint, its cutting corners where problems accur, ive spent about £300 on proper cleaning products to cater for the paint, and thats just the outside, so cheap products is a no no

Fair play, I appreciate a freshly polished car but never have the time.
I always have a clean interior but a jet wash is as close as it gets for me.
But equally I like that dusty/bugs in the grill look that you can't fake. Like when we'd arrived home after driving 6000miles across Europe in 3 weeks

There's an auto valet place just opened across from my folks, may give them a shout. Pay someone else to indulge my laziness

lol, fair enough, just watch them to see how much of that acid stuff they put on your wheels, last time i went to a valeters, they damaged every alloy, not happy

quick details are a great idea, but look at the meguiars NXT or dodo juice red mist tropical
