Mk2 Detailing Mission - Accomplished
« on: 17 December 2008, 14:54 »
Hello again! I know it's been longer than I first said but I've been having a nightmare with photobucket.

Anyway, down to business.

Dirty Girl!!!

I know my wheels need refurbing!!! Just a case of getting round to it. :undecided:

Bit of a scratch there.

Ok, so they're all the dirty pics. I then went about washing the car with the 2 bucket method.

I used a lambswool mitt mostly, just using a microfibre mitt for the bottom of the car and a sponge for the wheels.

Used Turtle car shampoo as it needs using before I get some better product.

And here's the results of the wash.

Ok then. I decided not to take any more pics until the car was finished so what you're seeing now is the finished article.

I super resin polished (twice) I put 2 layers of Auto Glym Gloss on then left the car overnight before putting on 2 coats of Natty's Paste Wax.  Oh, the glass was cleaned all round with Turtle glass cleaner.

So here we go!!!

That's about it. I was very pleased with my efforts as this was my first ever detailing session. Hope you guys like the results too.

Finally though, some bonus beading shots taken a couple of days later..........

That's your lot folks. I know the alloys are battered and the paintworks not the best but this little camper's happy!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Think he means...

He used SRP then EGP first day, then waxed the car the following day.

Otherwise the wax might of been a BIT tricky to remove after being left 24hrs overnight outside too.

Yeah, I just left the waxing till the next day because the Gloss needs time to cure apparently.

Thanks very much for the comments guys.........much appreciated.
