Went out and gave the R a proper drive yesterday, had tickets for Wales v Scotland so went cross country from Oxford thought the Cotswolds and over to Ross on Wye before heading down to Abergavenny but using the B4521 instead on the A40, B4521 is one of the best sections of roads I have driven in a long time, went over the Heads of the Valleys but snow and Pilot Sport Cup 2s meant I wasn't feeling brave driving over my favourite road through the Beacons
My parking paranoia kicked in but was joined by a lovely NB PP GTI in Cardiff, return journey was a more routine motorway affair
On a mix of A and B roads the R never fails to impress, even in the wet car can still put its power down and only struggles out of low speed corners, loved the DSG in manual mode on the drive, would a manual have been so engaging? jury will always be out
