V interesting about present used values. Last autumn I got a quote from Motorway offering me £21k for my 2019 GTI Performance DSG, metallic, DCC , 12,000 miles, me as the only owner from new.

I was absolutely shocked! Not to say highly offended........

2019 5Dr Mk7.5 Performance DSG. Indium Grey with DCC (and TCR spoiler)

(Previously two Mk7 GTIs, Mk6 GTI and Mk6 GTD)

I was offered the same, £21K from Motorway for a 2016 plate Golf R MK7 with similar mileage.

So I just tried again.......£24,600.
I paid £28,000 27 months ago and have actually done 16,000 miles.
Very happy with a £3,400 drop.
But I plan to keep for a while.

Past: Mk5 gti blue graphite, mk6 gti carbon grey, mk6 gti edition 35 candy white, Mk7 pp gti tornado red, 2016 Audi S3 sportback, 2019 7.5 Golf R.

I had my local BMW dealership call me and ask if I wanted to sell my BMW.... the BMW they never sold me and I didn't buy anywhere else...

Does anyone know if these quotes from the likes of WBAC, Motorway, Autotrader etc take into account factory options, or are they unaware of them and just assume you have a bog-standard car?

2017 (67) GTI PP DSG. Tungsten Silver with DCC, Art Velours, Dynaudio, Climate Screen, Tints, Keyless, Rear Camera, Lane Assist, Seville wheels.

They usually ask you about optional extras, but most optional extras have zero residual value anyway.

It was tempting.... especially as I don't like them very much.

Just goes to show though how the market is super hot and how organisations are crap at maintaining customer databases...
