I know what you mean....the wheels are cheap copies and the paint is a bit ropey...The rubber is worth triple what the wheels are......But I quite like them now......

Although I forgot to look what the offset was...they deffo stick out further than the standard alloys. Im yet to drive them yet on the Golf to see if the offset difference effects handling.

Just going to comment about the wheels looking spot on Ian for all year round.

Love the white car/dark wheels combo.

Thanks guys.....I may get them refurbished after the snow has been and gone....

Ive been making some calls regarding lowering springs....Awesome seem keen to push the VWR springs saying you get a "certificate" to put in your service book...Still dont see the point as at the end of the day it all depends on your relationship with your dealer regarding warranty and mods. Think im going for the Eibach's as they lower less than the VWR springs.

Plus I like the look of GrahamFR's GTI

I wouldn't put anything lower than the prolines on 19"s, think they'd look perfect with those wheels Ian

Washed the car and noticed my first bonnet stonechip, down to the primer, not huge, but really surprised how thin the Tornado paint is on the bonnet as well as the top of the wing - VW weight saving measures presumably!
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

I've had a few small stone chips on the front bumper but fortunately nothing on the bonnet as yet. I've touched them up as best I can and you wouldn't notice unless you looked really closely. So far I've been really impressed by the lack of stone chips it's collected.

My TT was absolutely prone to being peppered by stone chips, must have been something to do with the low profile of the cars bonnet

You haven't used enough c2v3 on yours matt. I bet your dad doesn't have any stone chips
