Title: 1.8 non turbo to turbo

Hi, at the ripe old age of 45, ive bought my first gti, albeit a 99 1.8 20v non turbo. Ive found for sale a turbo engine with loom, ecu and driveshafts. Both for mk4. Is it a straight swap?

Don’t waste your time or money mk4 gti turbos are now so cheap it’s not worth doing the conversion when you can pick up a running gti turbo for a couple of hundred quid
