I'm fitting the rad and intercooler next weekend for him,
he's bought some bends from the States which look a lot like yours, so we should be able to make a neat job.
When I get the car to my place next week I'll post some pics,
      Cheers Martin

The car sits now with the engine in, with plenum and turbo fitted.and it just looks lost in the engine bay.
When you loose the origonal inlet assembly you gain so much space.
The Skyline intercooler also fits better in the front of the Mk1 than it did in the car Skyline we took it from.

The distributer is the original vw one but with cossie internals, it uses a standard coil. Th trigger disc is custom made and simply sits on the end of the crack. The radiator is a custom made one and sits to the side(near side) and behind the intercoole. The battery is going to be relocated to the boot as the intercooler plumbing will take up the space of the battery. New engine loom made and then linked into the cars wiring. Plenum chamber has also been modified so the injectors squirt straight down the port.It previously blew through throttle bodies with dta management but this set up was not so well suited to forced induction.

Exelent info :), did you consider stand alone like SDS or similar, as you could write the fuel and ign maps yourself. Knowing how well my car goes, you will need a pilots licence for yours !!!!!! ;D.

I dont actually know what sds is but the chap that built my engine has all the software to map the cosworth ecu. We will do most of it on the road and then hopefully hire a rolling road to finish it off. I was trying to get the escort cossie ecu because that has launch control full trottle gear change abd lots of other stuff. Also bear in mind that second hand cossie ecus are quite cheap. What power are you hoping to make and what boost are you running. Also, what manifold are you using?

At only 5psi at the moment till the engine has a few more miles on it. The inlet manifold is standard and the exhaust manifold I made out of stainless steel tube. Hoping for about 200 whp, and still have a useable car.
SDS is a mappable fuel injection and ign system.

Do you remember Mark Elliots turbo mk 1 from a few years ago...also mars red? He ran lotus carbs and that made 250bhp. I also remember it running a 13.4 sec quarter-thats quicker than the new m3csl!!!
