Having trouble with the link. If you go to autotrader its the 2013 red 5 door model DSG with 7950 miles. Could someone post the link if possible please

WORKS but like you said only if you copy and paste the url like you said. Strange!
Now back to the topic, opinions of financing used?. I was pretty sure i was going to go for the PCP route with no intention of buying the car but the prices on the approved used VW GTI's are beginning to tempt me. This car is from a VW dealer to answer a previous poster's question

Having copied and pasted...

Well it looks ok. No nav.

See what finance they will offer and what further discount you can get.
You might find a personal loan will offer a better rate.

Just did a quick valuation on it and it books at a few quid under £20k at top part ex price for reference.

Edit, just ran a valuation on mine too, mine is a 63 plate too but a white 3 door with PP and nav and one or two other extras and it came out at £19500 top book so I think the GTI values have increased slightly since the depths of winter. The same happened with my mk6.

I found out it's because links are going through a referral thingy called Skimlinks, must be to catch any referral fees (a good thing) - but it seems to break AutoTrader links!

The only issue I see with VW Finance on used is the higher interest (and missing out on things like service pack deals). The car looks standard in terms of options? On Drivethedeal a new 5dr DSG is £24,321 after discount, so definitely worth comparing finance on both, and as Exonian says any cheaper finance options for used.
